WHAT WE DO

Multidisciplinary Engineering and Project Management

From project management and design coordination to multidisciplinary building services engineering, AIMCE delivers integrated solutions
across the full project lifecycle, from concept and approvals through construction and handover.

Project Management

We manage the project from brief through to handover, coordinating design teams, keeping programme and cost on track, and staying on top of quality so you’re not the one chasing updates. Because we know the DA, CDC, CC and OC pathways inside out, there are fewer surprises with councils and certifiers along the way.

  • Design Management
  • Programme, schedule & cost reporting
  • Tender management & bid evaluation
  • Pre-construction risk register
  • Value engineering & Peer review
  • Council, Certifier & authority liaison
  • Site inspections & hold point sign-off

Building Services Engineering

Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and fire, all under one team, one set of drawings, with no gaps between disciplines. Designed to Australian Standards and the NCC, and built to survive a certifier’s desk, not just look good on paper.

  • Electrical power & Lighting design
  • Standby Power & UPS for Critical Loads
  • Security & Access Control
  • Mechanical HVAC & ventilation
  • Hydraulic & fire suppression systems
  • Fire engineering & life safety systems (performance-based, NCC)
  • Communications & data infrastructure
  • Section J and Energy Compliance

About AIM CE

Engineering Excellence. Delivered Locally.

AIM Consultant Engineers is a Sydney-based practice delivering project management and building services engineering — electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire, and energy compliance — for developers, architects, and builders across Greater Sydney, regional NSW, and beyond. Led by Professional Engineers with 18+ years across Australia, we know how to get a project through council, past a certifier, and onto site without the usual back-and-forth.

We’re not a large firm pushing projects through a process — we’re a principal-led practice that stays close to the detail, from concept sketches to as-built compliance. That’s how projects stay on programme and out of trouble.

How We Work

Our 4-Step Process

A structured, engineering-led approach delivering optimized building services design solutions from concept to handover.

1

Consultation

We assess client goals, analyze site conditions, and establish design parameters across disciplines.

2

Engineering Design

Engineering calculations, energy modeling, and initial layout design to ensure code compliance, system efficiency, and performance optimization.

3

Technical Documentation

Detailed construction drawings, BIM coordination models, and technical specifications for seamless integration across all services.

4

Delivery

Construction-phase design assistance, shop drawing reviews, system verification, as-built documentation, and technical sign-off.

CEO, MCB Group

A: An engineering consultant coordinates the technical systems a building needs — electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and fire — so they work together as one integrated design rather than separate disciplines clashing on site. AIMCE delivers this across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to certification and handover.

A: AIMCE covers six core disciplines: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire engineering, energy compliance (Section J/BASIX/NatHERS), and project management — all under one team, so there are no gaps between consultants.

A: Yes — councils and certifiers require compliant building services documentation as part of DA, CDC, and CC approval pathways. AIMCE prepares this documentation to NCC and AS/NZS standards and liaises directly with councils and certifiers to reduce back-and-forth.

A: Building services is the technical design work (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire, energy compliance). Project management is the coordination layer — managing programme, cost, tenders, and stakeholders across the whole project, including disciplines AIMCE doesn’t directly design. Clients can engage AIMCE for one or both.

A: AIMCE works across residential and mixed-use, offices and corporate fitouts, industrial and warehouses, aged care and healthcare, childcare and education, and commercial and retail projects across Greater Sydney, regional NSW, and internationally.

A: AIMCE is headquartered in Sydney, NSW. The practice services Greater Sydney, the Illawarra, and regional NSW, with project experience extending to Queensland and Victoria.
